Refunds & Consumer Guarantees
This page explains BizRocketAu’s practical approach to free previews, cancellations, refunds and service issues. It does not replace rights that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Australian Consumer Law
If a service does not meet consumer guarantees under Australian law, you may be entitled to an appropriate remedy. The type of remedy depends on the nature of the problem, including whether the issue is major or minor.
2. Change of mind
BizRocketAu does not generally offer refunds for change of mind once project work, scoping, preview preparation, custom design work, setup work or hosting provisioning has begun. However, we may choose to offer a credit, partial refund or adjusted scope in suitable cases.
3. Custom website work and previews
- Website previews are free before approval. Revisions and custom requests involve time-based custom services once separately agreed.
- If you request changes before approval, BizRocketAu will usually address them through the revision process. If you still do not love the preview, you pay nothing.
- If a major service issue exists and cannot be fixed within a reasonable time, further remedies may apply under law.
4. Finished website files
For one-off file purchases, BizRocketAu will generally work to correct genuine delivery issues, missing agreed files or material faults before considering a refund. If the deliverable has a major problem that cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, consumer law rights may apply.
5. Managed hosting
- If you love the preview and choose to go live, managed hosting is $30/month all-inclusive, or $300/year with two months free.
- Managed hosting includes hosting, SSL, backups, content updates and email support.
- There is no lock-in contract. You may cancel future billing before the next billing cycle or by using any cancellation process provided.
- Except where required by law, fees already charged for an active hosting period are generally not refunded just because you changed your mind part-way through that period.
5A. QuoteRocket subscriptions
- No payment is required while BizRocketAu prepares the initial QuoteRocket setup for review.
- Monthly or annual billing begins only when the customer completes Stripe checkout. Subscriptions can be cancelled for future renewal through the provided billing process.
- Except where required by law, fees already charged for an active subscription period are generally not refunded for a change of mind part-way through that period.
- If QuoteRocket has a service problem, BizRocketAu will first work to correct it within a reasonable time. Australian Consumer Law remedies remain available where applicable.
6. Extras, domain help and third-party charges
Extras and domain help may include third-party costs, custom labour or separately quoted work. Third-party charges such as domain registration fees, payment processing fees or external provider costs may be non-refundable once committed, unless required by law or refunded by the provider itself.
7. Minor problems
Where a problem is minor, BizRocketAu may choose to fix the issue within a reasonable time rather than refund immediately.
8. Major problems
If a service has a major problem, you may have rights to cancel the service agreement or seek another remedy under Australian law. What qualifies as a major problem depends on the facts and legal standards that apply.
9. How to request help
If you believe there is a billing issue or service problem, contact BizRocketAu first at [email protected] with:
- your name and business name
- invoice number or payment reference
- a short description of the issue
- what outcome you are seeking
We will review the issue and respond within a reasonable time.
